Before quarantine I rarely dabbled in podcasts; however, I must admit they have been extremely useful during this time as unlike YouTube and Netflix you don’t have to sit down and watch a screen you can happily listen along whilst doing your house chores or driving to Sainsburys for your weekly food shop or wherever you choose to pick up your groceries.

The Girls Bathroom by Sophia Tuxford and Cinzia Bayliszullo

When I recently got into podcasts, this was the first one I randomly found on Spotify and ever since the first episode I have been hooked. Not only do they give excellent advice on girl problems and boy problems and everything in between but their personalities are so engaging and lively that they could be talking about a loaf of bread and I would still be entertained. I also find it fascinating to listen to other people’s dilemmas and probably become too involved for my own good but some of them are very juicy so all in all I would recommend, and if you do need advice email hello@thegirlsbathroom.com as I would definitely count on these two lovely ladies for advice.

Unsolicited Advice by Ashley Nicole and Taryne Renee

ree

Again, this is another advice podcast; however, it is very different from the one above as the episodes are filled with funny stories, half of them are by one of the dynamic hosts herself, Taryne Renee. I love how random these two lively girls are as they literally spill out their thoughts on whatever they are feeling and update you on their lives giving it a more genuine and unscripted feel. However, they also address serious topics such as mental health, nevertheless they also end the episode on a light-hearted note usually by ones of Taryne’s cringey dad jokes. So if you want to hear hilarious embarrassing stories and want advice on difficult situations this podcast is the one for you, simply email in on whatever your circumstance may be at adviceunsolicitedpod@gmail.com

Call Me Candid by Haley Pham and Lilly Ann

ree

These two young empowered females talk about their growing businesses in an entertaining way and what its like to work for yourself. To give you some context: Haley Pham is a highly successful Youtuber with over 2 million followers as well as owning her own vintage clothing company called Retro Reprise, whilst Lilly Ann is an artist who has her own shop producing cute notepads, stickers, sweaters and much more so definitely check out her site: https://allthingslillyann.com/. Through their podcast you get to follow them on their journey of being female bosses, as they often share a high and low of their week as well as giving tips on social media, productivity, self-care and much more.

PLT: Behind Closed Doors hosted by Nat O’ Leary

ree

This is my most recent and suprising find on Spotify as I didn’t realise the clothing company Pretty Little Thing had their own podcast, which I think is super cool. The episodes are really laid back and chilled, so I have often been listening along whilst working. Each episode features a well-known guest, for example, Maya Jama, Megan Barton-Hanson from Love Island and Sarah Ashcroft to name a few. Through each episode you get to know these celebrities a lot better as they discuss all about how they got to where they are, and funny stories that have happened to them along the way all whist sat in their pjs.
